Being a “Super Mom” doesn’t mean that you can leap tall buildings in a single jump. Or run faster than a speeding bullet… powers that could help when we’re running late to pick up the kids… but no, super moms can’t do these … yet …
But being a mom brings amazing new “powers” to every woman she may never have felt before.
The super power to have unconditional love for another human being and put their well-being before hers.
The super power to endure the pain, discomfort, mood swings, weight gain, bloating and so much more… but the super power to forget it all in a second once her tiny treasure is first placed in her arms.
When you become a mom you are now in charge, along with the Super Dad, at molding and teaching another human being. A human being that will be the future generation of our society.
That’s a lot of responsibility! And now in my 8th year of motherhood I still feel overwhelmed! Hoping by year 18, I should be ok… 🙂
but Where did the Woman I was before Mommy-hood go?
Becoming a mom brings a lot of fears, doubt and conflict.
I am a mom now, with this great responsibility … but what happened to the woman I was before all this?
What happens to my own personal dreams, desires and self-image?
This is where you need to find that “super” power and find your way again. To balance being a mom, with being a woman, a wife, having a career … having a personal dream.
When I first started this blog the description and mantra I chose is:
“Empowering Women! Unleashing and Acknowledging the Super Powers that comes with being a woman” (Facebook page description)
I was depressed. Lost. Unhappy.
Then I started meeting other moms on Facebook and Playdates with similar problems but trying their very best to make it work.
Each mommy inspired me to believe that we need to feel better about ourselves.
To Empower ourselves to be better women and in turn become better mothers … so moms be proud to be a SUPER MOM
Super Moms don’t have to make their own jam (even though if I ever have the time would love to try)
Super Moms ask for help from Super Dads and family members, not because we are weak or incapable … but we need to recharge from time to time. (In addition to understanding that quality time with both parents is very important to a child’s emotional and physical development).
Super Moms are never afraid to stop learning, growing and finding ways to balance it all. (“If Plan A doesn’t work, there are 25 other letters in the alphabet to try” – quote)
Super Moms will not let anyone bring them down or their family. Believe in yourself moms, you are amazing.
Super Moms know that to be able to love another human being unconditionally we should start by loving ourselves and who we are. Love yourself and be proud of who you are and what you can and have accomplished. Never stop believing in yourself.
Super Moms make mistakes. But are never afraid to learn from them and grow.
Being a Mom is probably the hardest, most demanding job ever – as stated before with my 8 years of experience I still feel overwhelmed almost daily.
Talk about it.
Ask for help.
NEVER FORGET HOW AMAZING YOU ARE!
BE EMPOWERED TO BE A SUPER WOMAN AND A SUPER MOM!
GOOD LUCK SUPER MOMS!
